1968 Shelby GT500KR

Purchased from the original owner in 1972 this Shelby has only once slipped away during the 80’s. It was repurchased with the color changed to red. Now the Ford Muscle Pony has received a complete repaint from the metal up back to its original “Highland Green” as well as making the rest of the ride up to it’s as originally shipped condition. All interior components were retained in their original condition.

The preassemble picture is the final pre-fit of all the body panels prior to the final color primer. The final color primer is the picture of all the green panels on the tables.

Engine installation requires that all components be in place and ready to run. Ford left just enough room for the 428SCJ.

The belly is completed as from the factory. Paint stripes and dabs are for identifying inspector checks and certain accessory option components.

All chrome work, front & rear bumpers and vent frames done by Sherms Custom Plating in Sacramento, California.

This Shelby is now ready to show and go, and it does both well!
