1962 Chevrolet Impala

This 1962 Impala 4 door hard top was purchased new by the current owner’s grandmother in1962. Being a Florida resident it was necessary to include the factory AC. She was quite petite so power brakes and power steering were added for assistance. The current owner actually came by my parents house around 1977 with the car to show it off. Jump ahead to the 2020’s add some life changes and the car ends up at our shop for what the owner wanted to do decades before. It arrived with 34,514 miles on it, the actual milage! The car received a body off to make sure the surface rust issues were stopped on the frame and belly. Even though the milage was low time has its way with seals and fluids, so all systems were overhauled. The AC converted to 134A and the heater was given a manual shut off valve to improve the conditioned air. A disc brake update was done on the front end as well as a dual master cylinder. The radio was converted to AM,FM and Bluetooth hands free. The interior seat covers were replaced along with the headliner due to threads being a little weak. The door panels were maintained, cleaned and reinstalled. Now that the car had been refreshed, Grandma would be proud of her grandson’s willingness to continue her love of her Impala
